Frequently Asked Questions

Am I a candidate for dental implants?

If you are sufficiently healthy to undergo surgery and that if any possible medical conditions that you may have is well under control, then this is the first step to becoming a candidate for dental implants. The other criteria that must be fulfilled is that you must have suitable bone quality and volume in addition to a person’s compliance to following instructions throughout the entire process.

During the procedure, you will be anesthetized (numbed up) so that there is normally no experiences of pain. Moreover, medicine will be prescribed for you to manage any discomfort that may arise after the anesthesia has worn off.

There are many factors that that would determine the length of time this will take but this would generally depend on the health of the patient and the intricacy of the entire implant procedure. A single implant placement and restoration on a young and healthy patient will have a substantially faster recovery time compared to a full mouth implant prosthesis on an elderly patient with medical conditions that will be needed to be managed properly beforehand.
