Minimally Invasive Flapless Surgery using a Single Incision Approach (SIA)
A placement of an implant is planned for tooth site #5 in the upper arch of the mouth.
Following a single incision to expose the crestal bone, an implant drill is used to create the implant space (osteotomy) via a freehand technique.
The implant site is prepared by sequentially increasing drill sizes to enlarge the osteotomy.
The implant is placed, and a hex driver is used to attach a cover screw. The driver is left seated on the screw to indicate the position and angulation of the implant.
The incision area is sutured.
A CBCT image confirms and verifies the implant placement.
